Finding Version Information On Ubuntu Hardy Heron

If you need support or help you will often be asked what version of Ubuntu you are running.

You could be asked what version of the Linux kernel you are running?

And what version of Gnome?

Do you know your network name?

How much memory is installed or what is the available disk space?

Here is a quick how to for finding out the basics:

System > Administration > System Monitor.

Click on the System tab.

    I so despise these types of articles, as it makes it seem like that something easy can’t be figured out by the Ubuntu fanboi masses. Oh wait, I see your point, never mind. LOL
