To keep from being mushy ~ Only a little water allowing blueberries to mix flavorFully & colorFully with the oats. Also combining ingredients fairly swiftly creates lack of mushy…unless mushy preferred. With all ingredients out and no cooking involved, this is a quick Ultra Enlivening food for to prepare for the day!

Finding That Elusive PERFECT BAG That is Eco Too

Infusion Fibers makes high quality, beautiful bags using sustainable natural fibers like hemp, organic cotton, linen, jute and bamboo. Additionally, in keeping with their goal to lighten the burden on the earth, Infusion re-purposes many fabrics, both new and used, that would otherwise have been discarded. Each item is hand made and all fabrics are carefully selected.

So when VitalBodies needed that Elusive PERFECT BAG for a top secret project we are working on for the VitalBodies blog, we knew just where to look. VitalBodies secret bag is not shown anywhere yet, as it is secret… so ssshhh.

If YOU want a bag, you can find a selection of bags at Infusion Fibers Etsy Store.

Also at Infusion Fibers Etsy store, you will find an assortment of soft goods for the home such as buckwheat and kapok pillows.

VitalBodies liked that fact that we could have a custom bag made to the size we needed for our project, and choose our favorite eco fabric hemp. Plus we could support both buying hand made and supporting a work at home artist.

As an example of recycling fabrics, one of Infusion Fibers newest designs is the Crescent Bag, made with upcycled burlap coffee sacks.

Infusion can also customize purses, shopping bags, totes, messenger bags and more…

Organic Ice Cream made with only 4 natural ingredients (Half and Half, Cocoa, Cocoa Nibs and Walnuts) and no sweetener or thickeners added. Designed from the Half and Half up for healing.
Plus, wow, yum....

ALL ORGANIC Sugarless Ice Cream UPDATED

VitalBodies has used a Cuisinart yogurt ice cream maker to make sugar free ice cream. We also tried a Demi but so far the Demi seemed under powered and did not scrap the ice off the bowl quite high enough so the unit bogs down.
There is no sweetener (natural or artificial) added to VitalBodies ice cream!

At VitalBodies, we prefer to prepare food in all glass cookware. For soaking, VitalBodies uses a Flameware Glass (stove top safe) Tea Pot. But having made so many batches of ice cream we now know that we do not need to heat the milk. Instead we use a quart jar and add nibs, cocoa powder, cream and shake. If you are dairy free you substitute cream for your favorite milk.

Ingredients:

1 quart Organic Valley half and half

3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder

2 heaping tablespoons of cocoa nibs

2 heaping tablespoons of walnut pieces

ALL ORGANIC:
Made with 1 quart Organic Valley Half and Half, 3 heaping tablespoons of Cocoa powder, 2 tablespoons of cocoa nibs, and 2 tablespoons of walnuts pieces.

The Cuisinart freezer bowl is aluminum but you do not cook in this bowl. Even though we are preparing food in metal, this is better than buying store bought ice cream, at least in our opinion.

You MUST pre-freeze the freezer bowl over night.

Making ice cream is easy the first time and is second nature the 2nd time on.

VitalBodies pours 1 cup of the Organic Valley Half and Half into a glass quart jar.

To this Half and Half, we add 3 heaping tablespoons of cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of cocoa nibs

Soak them together only long enough so as to dissolve the powder in the milk.

shaking is needed, so the Half and Half and cocoa powder bond together. Mix and soak until there is no longer dry cocoa powder.

No heating is needed.

POUR INTO SPINNING ICE CREAM YOGURT MAKER:

1 cup Organic Valley Half and Half, approximately, no need to measure.

All of the Organic cocoa milk from the glass quart jar.

Pour 1 cup Organic Valley Half and Half into glass quart jar, and swirl, to recover any cocoa stuck to sides then pour into maker.
Pour 1 cup Organic Valley Half and Half into glass quart jar, and swirl, to recover any cocoa or nibs stuck to sides then pour into maker.
Add in the 2 table spoons of walnuts pieces.
Let mix/spin till done – roughly 15 minutes.
NOTE: Too little time spinning and the ice cream is watery, too much and it overflows…

Only A Small Mess:
Spoon, measuring cup, glass quart jar, and the Ice Cream Maker…

OPTIONAL: Frozen Organic Blueberries and or heavy cream. The exact amount of heavy cream is what makes the ice cream more like high end store bought ice cream.
